Group Dining

• For parties of 14 or more, we strongly recommend set menus for speed and quality of service. Please contact manager@ballandeanpub.com.au to access our functions menu

• We may require and request a refundable deposit to be paid for some booking types.  Please refer to cancellation / modification section for further information.

• The deposit will be deducted from the bill at the end of your dinner. We tolerate a difference of:

·     1 person less for group between 8 and 19 people

·     2 people less for group of 20 people or more

·     Past this $45 will be charged for each nonattendance

• Deposits paid to the restaurant for bookings will be non-refundable.

Dietary Requirement / Allergies

Our kitchen uses various ingredients that contain gluten, by consequence our gluten free dishes may be contaminated by gluten at any time. Please advise the team in case of severe allergy/ies. It is the customer’s responsibility to inform staff about allergy and dietary requirement.

Use of the playground

We have a childrens playground on site at the Ballandean Pub.  This playground is for the exclusive use for guests dining or staying at the pub and must not be used by people who are not customers at the time of playground entry.

Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at ALL TIMES whilst they are in the playground. Parents or guardians who are not supervising their children may be asked to leave by management.  

Important information for parents and guardians:  By your children using the playground and any other play facility located at the Ballandean Pub you agree:

I, and as parent or legal guardian of the child (or children) attending the Ballandean Pub agree as follows:

1.    Activities – Activities shall be defined as the various playground, play and entertainment activities and services offered to Participants by Ballandean Pub Pty Ltd

2.    I understand that the employees of Ballandean Pub Pty Ltd (or associated entities) are not responsible for Participants who utilise the space, playground and it is the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian to supervise any minors they bring into the facility.

3.    I, and the children under my care, understand and agree to the safety rules and play guidelines outlined at the Ballandean Pub and online at www.ballandeanpub.com.au. I acknowledge that these rules and guidelines may change and that I have read and am familiar with them prior to entering the play space and making use of the facility.

 

BY VISITING BALLANDEAN PUB PTY LTD, YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL RISKS RELATED TO ALLOWING YOUR CHILDREN OR CHILDREN IN YOUR CARE ACCESS TO PLAY AREAS:

 

3.    ASSUMPTION OF RISK – I understand that the Activities entail the risk of severe bodily injury to the Participants. Injuries that could result may vary, but may include (a) minor injuries such as scratches, bruises and sprains; (b) major injuries such as eye injury or loss of sight, joint or back injuries and concussions; and (c) catastrophic injuries, including paralysis and even death.

 

I understand that, Ballandean Pub Pty Ltd cannot eliminate all risks or guarantee the safety of the Participants while Participants use the playground facilities located at the pub. I have made my own investigation of these risks, understand these risks, and assume them knowingly and willingly on behalf of myself and my minor Participant child.  Notwithstanding these risks and other hazards that may be foreseeable but not specifically identified herein, I, for myself and any minor Participant child, and our respective heirs, personal representatives and assigns, understand, acknowledge, and expressly and voluntarily assume all risks and full responsibility for any sickness or injury arising out of or related to the Activities.

 

4.    RELEASE, DISCHARGE & AGREEMENT NOT TO SUE – I, for myself and any minor Participant child and our respective heirs, personal representatives and assigns, do hereby release, discharge and agree not to sue Ballandean Pub Pty Ltd or its directors, managers, members, employees and/or other agents, for any sickness, injury to or death of any Participant arising, directly or indirectly, from participation in the Play Activities located at the pub. This release, discharge and covenant not to sue shall relate to any and all claims or legal rights now existing or arising in the future, including claims and legal rights arising out of any negligence of Ballandean Pub Pty Ltd and/or its directors, managers, members, employees and/or other agents and any other breach of a legal duty arising out of common law, statute, contract or otherwise. 

 

5.    Indemnification And Hold Harmless – I agree to indemnify Ballandean Pub Pty Ltd and hold Ballandean Pub Pty Ltd harmless from, without limitation, any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities, including attorney’s fees and costs, incurred due to claims brought by any party as a result of or arising out of my or my minor Participant child’s involvement in any Play Activities or whilst using the Playground and agree to reimburse Ballandean Pub Pty Ltd for any such costs, expenses and fees as they are incurred.

6.    Security Cameras. I understand that security cameras installed around and within Ballandean Pub Pty Ltd facility are for the safety of all participants and may be referenced should any incidents or injury occur.

7.    Photo Release. I grant Ballandean Pub Pty Ltd permission to use any photographs, video, or sound bites obtained of me or any minor Participant child at Ballandean Pub Pty Ltd facility for any legal use including but not limited to: publicity, advertisement and web content. I understand that no royalty or other compensation shall be payable to me or the minor Participant by reason of such use.

8.    Parent or Legal Guardian Certification and Consent – by making this booking and attending Ballandean Pub, I hereby certify that I am the parent or legal guardian of the minor Participant children and I have authority to waive rights on behalf of the minor Participant(s). I have read and I understand all of the provisions of this document and the risks of the Activities. I understand that the Activities could cause injury and even death. I acknowledge that I have read and understand the terms of this document and I am freely and voluntarily signing this document.  This Participation Agreement, Liability Waiver, and Hold Harmless Agreement has no expiration date

9.    Playground rules: 

• The playground is exclusively for children 2-11 years only

• Children must be supervised at all times by a guardian and or parent

• No shoes, no play

• We are not a childcare centre, parent reponsbility prevails

• Your child may be asked to leave the playground by Ballandean Pub Pty Ltd staff at any time for any form of anti-social behaviour

• Any accidents or incidents must be reported to management immediately

• We don’t accept responsibility for any lost and or stolen items

• Smoking and alcohol in the play areas is strictly prohibited

• Children must be toilet trained or wearing a nappy whilst using the playground.

 

Your seating allocation time

 

Your seating allocation is for 2 hours for Friday to Sunday Lunch and Dinner service. All tables are re-booked so if you require longer please contact us directly and we will do our best to accommodate you.

 

Minors Patrons

The Ballandean Pub is family friendly. We are a fully licensed venue operating in accordance with the principles of Responsible Service of Alcohol Laws in QLD.
• Photo Proof of Age Identification may be required for ordering of alcoholic beverages.
• The parent or legal guardian is responsible for ensuring that no alcohol is consumed by the minor.

 

Cancellation Policy

For groups and bookings less than 14 people, if cancellation occurs more than 72 hours before the dinner, we will refund the entire amount of the deposit. If cancellation occurs between 72 hours and 48 hours before the dinner, we will retain 50% of your total booking deposit.

If cancellation occurs 48 hours or less before the dinner, 100% of the booking deposit will be retained.

For groups of 14 people or more, no refund for cancellations  made within 72 hours of the event occurring.

If modification of number of guests occurs more than 72 hours before the dinner, we will adjust the booking at no fee. if modifications of more than 2 guests less occurs between 72 hours and 48 hours before the dinner, we will charge $35 per guests less past the tolerance of 2 guests subtraction.

Special events tickets are non-refundable. Alternative options may be possible at the discretion of the restaurant. Please contact our team as early as possible to discuss your matter.

 

Alcohol Consumption

We are a fully licensed venue, so no BYO is allowed.

By law it is prohibited to supply alcohol to an intoxicated patron. Intoxicated persons will not be permitted to enter the venue. Service of alcohol is at the discretion of the wait staff. We reserve the right to refuse service and remove any person from the premises if the relevant venue manager believes the person is intoxicated or is behaving in a violent, quarrelsome or disorderly manner or is smoking inside the venue. The Ballandean Pub Management reserves the right to grant or refuse entry.
